Encouragement to Pray!

The Church in Oklahoma City

As we end this year of 2025 and approach the new year of 2026, may we thank and praise the Lord  for all He’s done this year, and beseech the Lord to advance His interests in the coming year. To this  end  we  have  prepared  the  following list  of  burdens  that  we  may  bring  to  the  Lord  in  prayer  personally,  between  husbands  and  wives,  in  small  groups,  and  in  the  prayer  meetings of  the  church. This list is not meant to be taken legally, but as the Lord leads. It may be helpful to read  through the items thoroughly and prayerfully, and to dedicate time to each point.

1. Thank and praise the Lord for all He’s accomplished this past year, in our own lives, in the lives  of those around us, in the local church, in His Body, and for His move over the whole Earth. Thank  and praise You Lord for this past year!

2. Thank the Lord for all the serving ones, serving in the Body, in whatever capacity, and thank the  Lord for the many patterns and pillars in the Body, the many that have been raised up in this  past  year,  and  all  the leading  ones  and  co-workers  over  the whole  Earth,  serving His will  to  accomplish His move.  Thank You for all those serving You Lord in this past year!

3. The raising up of consistent and ongoing prayer among us, that we would be people of prayer,  we would have homes of prayer, the church would be a house of prayer, we would have personal  scheduled  times  of  prayer,  and  that  we  would  develop  prayer  lists  according  to  the  Lord’s  leading.

4. The increase of the experience, enjoyment, and expression of Christ in all the saints, and to be  saved from oldness, deadness, worldliness, barrenness, and lukewarmness. That the church in  Oklahoma  City,  and  all  the  local  churches,  would  bear  the  characteristics  of  the  church  in  Philadelphia — Rilled with brotherly love, having a little power, keeping the Lord’s word, and not  denying His name — and not fall into the condition of the church in Laodicea.

5. The intensiRied preaching of the high gospel, the propagation of the word of the ministry, and  the establishment of new local churches,  for the increase and spread of the Lord's testimony. The people who are predestinated by God: (1) sinners to be saved and seeking believers to come  to the full knowledge of the truth, (2) proper and useful ones to be gained for the recovery, and  (3)  a  demographically  proportionate  number  of local  people  to  be  added  to  the  recovery. In  particular,  the  spreading  of  the  gospel of  the  kingdom  and  the  Lord’s  testimony  throughout  Oklahoma,  throughout  the Heartland, and  throughout  the United States,  for new doors of  the  gospel to be opened, and for seeking individuals, families, and clusters to be gained for the Lord’s  recovery.

6. All ages of saints in the churches to function according to their capacity, especially the raising up  of  a  new  generation — from  newborn  babes,  to the  children,  young  people,  and  college-age  saints — for the Lord’s testimony according to His economy. Especially, to pray for His will in  each  one  to  rise  up  to  serve  Him,  in  whatever  capacity,  from  small  practical  service  to  coordination on teams, from patterns and pillars to leading ones among us.

7. The preservation of strong and spiritual marriages and healthy and sanctiRied families as solid  foundational units in the building up of the church. God’s principle of the household salvation  and household recovery to be a shining testimony among us.

8. The growing ranks of young working saints (ages 25-50) in the churches, both the job-dropping  and the money-making saints, including the graduates of the full-time training, to be strong to  overcome in order to live for Christ and the church and be normal functioning members in the  service of the Body to bear the primary burden of the church life.

9. All the saints to have a heart for men, to be genuine priests of the gospel, to personally, directly,  regularly, and  faithfully visit and contact people  for  their spiritual welfare,  to bear remaining  fruit, and to shepherd the Lord's sheep for the increase of the recovery and the building up of  the Body.

10. The  strengthening  of  the  God-ordained  way  for  the  increase  and  building  up  of  the  church  through begetting, nourishing, perfecting, and building.

11. The bringing in of the new revival through the successful practice of the high peak revelations  of God’s economy, including the God-man living, the universal shepherding, and the blending for  the reality of the Body of Christ and of the one new man.

12. The Lord’s work, and all those that serve would be strengthened and supplied, and in particular the campus and community gospel work, and the children’s and young people’s work. That more  would be added to these teams and raised up to serve in this one work.

13. The  preservation  of  society  from moral  degradation and  corruption, especially in  the United  States, which is still a strategic and leading nation for God's move in His recovery on the earth  today.

14. The  hand  of  God  to  be  upon leaders in  the  highest levels  of  government  to  guide  the North  American  nations  in  the  fear  of  God,  in  a  reverence  for  God's  Word,  and  in  respect  for  His  principles, so that the church life can go on in peace.

15. The spreading of the gospel of the kingdom and the Lord’s testimony to every country, especially  to France and Italy, according to the Lord’s up-to-date move in Europe.

16. The full-time training including the trainees, the trainers, and the serving ones.

17. The London Training Center building project to be fully funded and completed in a timely way,  that this new  facility could be used soon to train more saints  for the Lord’s move throughout  Europe.

18. The  services  of  and  the  serving  saints  at  Living  Stream  Ministry,  Defense  and  ConRirmation  Project, Bibles for America, Bibles for Canada, Rhema Media, and GTCA.

19. The forces of religious opposition to the Lord's recovery to be bound, the names of Witness Lee  and  the local  churches  to  be  cleared  from  blame, and  the  number  of  friends  of  the  recovery  among Christian leaders to grow.

20. That  this  coming  year would  be  a year  of  spending more  time with  the  Lord,  a true  time  of  consecration  for  all  saints,  and  there  would  be  an increase in  each  one’s intimate,  personal,  private, deep time with the Lord, to absorb Him and know Him more, to see Him and His perfect  will in all our situations in the coming year.

ABOUT US

Concerning the church, our vision is governed not by the present situation nor by traditional practice, but by God's original intention and by His unchanging standard as revealed in His Word. We regard the New Testament revelation of the church not merely as a historical antecedent, but as the norm for church practice in the present day.
